সংক্ষিপ্ত:This research focuses its study on the development of the Physical-chemical Characterization of the soil, in short-cycle crops, for the Corazón de Jesús community, belonging to the Riobamba canton, Chimborazo province with the purpose of knowing through physical-chemical analysis and its respective characterization of the current state of these soils where it is cultivated daily for the subsistence of its producers, the methodology started with a type of bibliographical and field research of a descriptive type with a qualitative approach, for the characterization of the soils, a historical analysis of the same, in which it contemplates: location, geomorphology, hydrography, current use of the soil, climatic factors, flora, fauna, concluding with a detailed description of the soil management of this community in the years 2000, 2010 and 2020 Because these years are contemporary, that is, when analyzing the state of the soil, it will be possible to clearly see how these h a been changing with the passage of time. Thus, a physical-chemical analysis of the soil was also carried out, starting with a random sampling in which a total of 30 samples were obtained, 15 lettuce and 15 cabbage, the same ones that were analyzed in the UNACH Environmental Services laboratory. , determining the physical parameters such as color, texture, apparent density and structure; and chemical parameters pH, organic matter, nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium, with the results obtained it was destroyed that these soils are not so fertile, however it can continue to be cultivated if agricultural practices are improved in the study area, so that these soils preserve and recover their original characteristics. Finally, with the results obtained in the laboratory analyses, a manual of good environmental practices was produced, specifically for short-cycle crop soils: cabbage and lettuce, detailing some techniques or methods that help growers of the Community to take care of and have a better management of the soils of their community.
