| Sumari: | ABSTRACT: Worldwide disability figures have increased in the population despite preventive campaigns and specialized medical services; therefore, receiving a diagnosis of any type of disability can trigger alterations and problems in the family system, as well as in the quality of life of those who suffer it. The objective of the research was to analyze the family social atmosphere and quality of life in patients with disabilities who receive care at Centro de Salud N°1, it was a documentary and bibliographic study, with a cross-sectional, non-experimental design and descriptive level. 40 Clinical Histories of patients with disabilities who rest in the Department of Statistics of the Centro de Salud N°1 were reviewed, an observation form was used for data collection, in which information such as: type and disability percentage, and also the results of the scales: Family Social Atmosphere Scale (FES) and FUMAT Quality of Life Scale; the results in family social atmosphere indicated that all subdimensions are at a medium level: with 55% in relationships, 45% in development and 80% in stability; regarding quality of life, 72.5% of the patients were at a medium level, at the same time a descriptive relationship between both variables was observed. In view of the results obtained, a plan of psychological strategies aimed to improve the quality of life of patients with disabilities was developed. |
