Proyecto para la Creación de un Complejo Turistico en la Comunidad de Balcashi Quimiag.

In the present study the implementation of a resort is discussed in the Balcashi town, Quimiag Parish. Balcashi town is a potential tourism area, but unfortunately there are no places of accommodation, food and recreation where tourists can come and learn about the natural attractions of this area. Each year the city of Riobamba receives on average 7789 domestic and foreign tourists who come to see the tourist attractions of the area and surrounding towns, including Balcashi town, but unfortunately tourists leave no greater wealth in the town as their accommodation, food, and recreation is done in the city of Riobamba, this town losing significant revenue from tourism. That's why in view of the influx of tourists to the town and the need for sustainable tourism growth alternative construction of a resort so as to ensure that tourists come more often and let the town looked her wealth. The alternative proposed step then to a phase of technical, financial, administrative, legal and market study, in which the following results were obtained: 1) marketing study, analyzing statistics on income of foreign tourists to the country, foreign exchange. They generated by this concept and the growth rates of the past five year’s sector; these data showed us that there is a growing trend behavior in the sector. Added to the above survey was conducted at national and foreign tourists visiting the city of Riobamba, where knew first hand: the satisfaction of tourists with supply of hotels, hostel inns and resorts; the willingness to pay for tourism services; economic, social and demographic profile of tourists. Concluded in this study that there is an unmet demand for 1558 tourists. These data were projected until 2019, deciding to meet 20% of this demand.
