| Περίληψη: | ABSTRACT: The main purpose of this research study was to focus on Cardiac rehabilitation which is an essential component in the recovery of patients suffering from valvular heart disease and other cardiovascular diseases, which are a leading cause of death worldwide. This therapy aims to improve the overall health of patients, either after a heart attack or as a preventive measure. The main goals of cardiac rehabilitation are to reduce cardiovascular risk factors, improve cardiac function and increase patients' functional capacity, counteract the psychological effects of heart disease, and employ a methodology that includes a literature review and deductive analysis, along with inductive literature research. Cardiac rehabilitation is applied to patients who have experienced a myocardial infarction, have undergone coronary artery bypass surgery, left ventricular systolic dysfunction, congestive heart failure, pacemakers, cardiac resynchronization therapy, congenital heart disease, or have received a heart transplant, it is essential to be aware of conditions that may increase the risk of complications, such as unstable angina, uncontrolled cardiac arrhythmias, uncontrolled hypertension and other contraindications physical activity plays a crucial role in improving the condition and treatment of patients with valvular heart disease. Each patient should undergo an individual assessment to determine the safety and appropriateness of cardiac rehabilitation in their particular case, and a specialized program should be customized under the supervision of a healthcare professional to prevent muscle injury or strain.
