| Streszczenie: | This research aims to assess the levels of recreation and emotional regulation in students. These dimensions are key to children's comprehensive development. The COVID-19 pandemic has harmed students' emotional and social well-being. Isolation, excessive screen time, and lack of in-school interaction are the main causes. Recreation becomes vital by fostering emotional well-being, boosting self-esteem, building social skills, and promoting healthy lifestyles. The study uses a quantitative, non-experimental, exploratory, descriptive, and diagnostic approach, focusing on eighth-grade students at "Fe y Alegría" school in Guamote and Quero. The sample comprises 34 students. Data were collected using questionnaires about students’ recreational practices and their levels of emotional regulation. The findings provide a baseline for future interventions that use recreation to improve emotional regulation. Recreation promotes physical and cognitive growth, helps channel emotions, reduces stress, and strengthens social bonds. This research aims to advance education by fostering humane, comprehensive, and emotionally healthy learning spaces. |
