Avances en la reanimación cardiopulmonar asistida. La ciencia al servicio de la salud humana.

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is an essential procedure for preserving the life of patients with cardiac arrest. Currently, there are various devices that facilitate the execution of this procedure. The objective of this research was to conduct a bibliographic review to obtain updated information on scientific advancements related to assisted cardiovascular resuscitation. A basic, documentary, descriptive, and cross-sectional study was carried out based on a non-systematic bibliographic review of documents published in the last 10 years. The study universe comprised 83 documents, of which 55 were included in the analyzed sample. Information was collected from regional databases (Latindex, LILACS, SciELO, and Redalyc) and high-impact sources (Scopus, Medline, PubMed, and Web of Science). Boolean operators and health descriptors were used to optimize the search for information. The main results include the identification of diagnostic and therapeutic elements to consider in cases of cardiac arrest, as well as an analysis of the cardiopulmonary resuscitation equipment available in the international market. Additionally, a comparison of the advantages of the RCP Lázaro device against other assisted cardiopulmonary resuscitation equipment is provided. It is concluded that assisted cardiopulmonary resuscitation significantly improves the patient's health prognosis. In this context, the RCP Lázaro stands out among the available equipment for its technical, adaptive, and functional advantages, which optimize the effectiveness of assisted cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
