Summary:The present research project on sports physiotherapy strategies for injury prevention in elite footballers has shown to have positive effects, helping to reduce the number of injuries that athletes may suffer during the season, and therefore, improving their sporting performance. Sports injuries are very common and unfortunate in the sports field. The way in which the athlete faces this situation is very important. However, physical therapists in this area can provide great help through an exercise program that helps reduce as much as possible the most common injuries among athletes. The work was carried out with the aim of analyzing sports physiotherapy strategies for injury prevention in elite footballers. To do so, a documentary design was proposed, including the compilation of randomized clinical trials that were analyzed from different types of updated bibliographic sources such as PUBMED, PEDro, SCIELO, SCOPUS. To validate the methodological quality of the various trials, an assessment was made using the PEDro scale, where they had to obtain a score equal to or greater than 5 for the present research project. In the analyzed trials on sports physiotherapy strategies for injury prevention in elite footballers, results such as the reduction of injuries such as hamstring muscle strain are evident by carrying out the program before and after training, which could be accompanied by dynamic stretching since they also have validity for the prevention of injuries in the lower limb. The prevention of injuries also helps competitors to have longevity in their sports career since by presenting fewer serious and chronic injuries the footballer will have a longer and more successful career.
