Add Tag | Summary: | This research analyzes food insecurity and its determinants in households in rural parishes in Penipe canton, province of Chimborazo in the period 2019. The type, degree, level and current state of food insecurity was investigated in families belonging to each parish. The research reflects the significant influence of variables within households such as income level, schooling level, access to basic services, household tenure, land, sex, marital status. For this reason, the study has been divided into four chapters. Thus, Chapter I is based on a formulation of the problem and the objectives. Chapter II elaborates the state of the art, the theoretical framework where we have concepts, characteristics, theories about food insecurity. In chapter III, the method, type and design, population, sample, techniques for data collection and the specification of the econometric model are established. Finally, in chapter IV, the conclusions and respective recommendations are presented, which will give guidelines for new research project proposals. |
