Shrnutí:The central axis of this document is the elaboration of a children's story to develop creativity in preschool children, the place where the research was applied is the Guamote canton in Chimborazo province. The theoretical foundation allowed us to know that the use of recreational activities allows to encourage learning and creativity, promoting didactic materials as connection instruments between the teacher and the infants, especially in the previous stages to learning literacy, these processes encourage participation and coexistence between infants, therefore, the use of stories in the classroom is transcendental. The place where the research was carried out is the "Inti Sisa" Foundation, which is a non-profit organization that works with the rural population of the canton, offering various programs and projects for social and economic involvement, among which the children's center for the boys and girls of the area. In order to choose a topic for the story according to the needs and requirements of the infants, information collection instruments were proposed, consisting of interviews and observation guides. In this way, transcendental data such as the use of characters, colors and structure of the illustration was obtained.
