“Análisis de las barreras arancelarias y su incidencia en las importaciones del Ecuador: caso sector textil período 2009-2015”

The analysis of tariff barriers and their impact on imports from Ecuador during the period 2009-2015, focuses on the different taxes and tariffs that the sector has to pay, through the acquisition of raw materials, inputs and machinery that it needs for its Business activity in Ecuador, also in finding the problems facing the sector and what possible solutions they may have to improve trade in the Ecuadorian textile sector. This research work is divided into four chapters which are detailed as follow: Chapter I, Referential Framework, it refers to the problem statement, problem formulation, both general and specific objective and the justification of the problem, which explains the problem, which warrants the conduct of the research. Chapter II, Theoretical Framework, consists of concepts and characteristics that include aspects such as antecedents, theoretical foundations, international trade, instruments of trade policy, tariff barriers, non-tariff barriers, balance of payments, trade balance, exports, imports, legal framework of foreign trade, current integration schemes, textile sector, system of hypotheses, variables, variables operationalization, etc. Their sources of information are books, reports and magazines published by the main organisms and authors at world-wide level. Chapter III, Methodological Framework, it includes the methodology used in research, methods, types, research design, as well as the techniques to be followed for the appropriate management of the information obtained, and the determination of the population by sampling Which helped to verify the hypothesis raised by means of the Armington econometric model, we also used the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) model was used with its main tests that support the model to be performed.
