Итог:Objective: To identify the level of uncertainty of parents or caregivers regarding hospitalized pediatric patients, applying the Parents test at the Ecuadorian Social Security Institute. Riobamba 2021-2022 Population and sample: 110 patients to whom the Parents test was applied in the pediatric service of the IESS Riobamba General Hospital. Material and Methods: The Type of Research carried out was descriptive, prospective and crosssectional with data previously obtained through the Parents test in relation to the different variables. The data collection was through the application of the Parents test in parents or caregivers of pediatric patients hospitalized in the pediatric service of the General Hospital IESS Riobamba during the period May 2021-April 2022. Results: Of the total of 110 surveys, 1 respondent was obtained with a low score (less than 55 points) representing 0.9% of the total population, 16 respondents obtained a moderate score (from 56 to 85) points and representing 14.5%, 93 respondents obtained a high score (more than 85 points) and represent 84.5%. Conclusions: It is concluded that there is a high level of uncertainty in parents or caregivers of hospitalized pediatric patients with 84.5%; followed by a moderate uncertainty corresponding to 14.5% and a low level of uncertainty with 0.9%.
