It has been considered that there are materials that have given very good results for the polishing of resins, therefore two of them were chosen to analyze which shows less roughness. The objective of this research was to analyze two polishing systems on the surface roughness of nanohybrid resins. Twenty nanohybrid resin samples of 10 mm in diameter and 3 mm thick were made, they were divided into 2 groups of 10 samples each. The first group was polished with silicone cups and diamond paste. The second collection was polished with Sof-Lex discs. The measurement was performed with the SURFTEST SJ-210 surface roughness meter. Once the study was done, it was possible to determine the system with more roughness of polishing and it was the group of resin samples with Sof-Lex discs, with a minimum value of 0.191 µm and a maximum of 0.358 µm. But the best system was the samples of resin polished with silicone cups and diamond paste with a minimum of 0.089 µm and a maximum of 0.225 µm. The ratings obtained in the resin exposed samples in this study determine that resins polishing with silicone cups and diamond paste obtain less surface roughness.

The ratings obtained in the resin exposed samples in this study determine that resins polishing with silicone cups and diamond paste obtain less surface roughness.En la actualidad existe una gran variedad de sistemas de pulido de resinas, pero aún no hay un consenso respecto al material o sistema de pulido que permita obtener menor rugosidad superficial, de tal forma que la restauración dental sea durable y estéticamente mejor; se ha considerado que hay materiales que han dado muy buenos resultados para el pulido de resinas por lo que se escogió dos de ellos para analizar cuál presenta menos rugosidad. El objetivo de la presente investigación fue analizar dos sistemas de pulido sobre la rugosidad superficial de resinas nanohíbridas. Se elaboraron 20 muestras de 10 mm de diámetro y 3 mm de espesor de resina nanohíbrida, dividiendo en 2 grupos de 10 muestras cada una, el un grupo fue pulido con copas de silicona y pasta diamantada y el segundo con discos Sof-Lex. La medición se realizó con el Medidor de Rugosidad Superficial SURFTEST SJ-210. Una vez realizado el estudio se pudo determinar que el sistema con más rugosidad de pulido correspondió al grupo de muestras de resina pulidas con discos Sof-Lex obteniendo un valor mínimo de 0,191 µm y un máximo de 0,358 µm y el mejor sistema correspondió a las muestras de resina pulidas con copas de silicona y pasta diamantada teniendo como resultado un mínimo de 0,089 µm y máximo de 0,225 µm.
