| Gaia: | The present investigation was about "Multiple intelligences and academic performance of tenth-year students of E.G.B. room "C" of tUnidada Educativa Juan de Velasco. Period March-July 2017, the objective to determe the relationship between two variables. An inductive deductive, synthetic analytical scientific study was applied: the research design was not experimental because the variables were not manipulated: the type is of field: with a descriptive and correlational level: transversal type was carried out in a certain time and once just onetime: the sample was not probabilistic and intentional, so it was composed of 38 students, 25 women and 13 men, evaluation, and psychometric tests were applied as techniques, the multiple intelligence test as an instrument and the performance table academic as the multiple intelligences test of Gardner. The research based on the theory of Howard Gardner, is of great relevance for the lack of application of methods focused on students’ habilities of their self-rfulfillment, the results archieved by applying the Gardner test to know the students, intelligences and their relation to the academic performance, the musical and interpersonal rhythmic intelligence scores were higher, their general average of academic performance is of 8.31, in others words, the quantitative scale they reach the learning, so the correlation with the academic performance is minimal or low so it is presumed that the general curriculum does not have an approach based on on students, needs or work based on their abilities. |
