Sumario:ABSTRACT: The present research titled "Dissemination of gender content in the printed media of Riobamba, period 2022" was carried out with the purpose of carrying out a content analysis on gender issues published in the printed media such as the newspaper the Prensa and newspaper the Andes, to understand how information is approached and presented to readers and how they contribute to the construction of a more equitable gender culture. The theory on which the research was based was functionalism. The research methods that were used to develop this investigative work are: descriptive research, we used this method because the informative notes are made known as they are published in the media, another method was field research because We look for gender content in person in the city's newspapers. We use the qualitative method, documentary research. The instruments that were used were the documentary review, the interview and the content analysis matrix that allowed us to classify and analyze each of the notes published by the newspapers, the interview that was also important to know how it is handled within the media, the dissemination of content with gender themes within the media. All the notes related to the genre for the 12 months of the 2022 period published by newspaper the Prensa and newspaper the Andes were analyzed, where it can be seen that the journalistic genres most used for the dissemination of these contents are informative notes and interviews. With the purpose of highlighting all the results found in this research work, a scientific article was prepared that will be published in FERMIS: Multidisciplinary Magazine of Gender Studies
