| الملخص: | ABSTRACT This study aimed to develop a methodological proposal intended to integrate interculturality in the teaching-learning process of Social Sciences in a virtual learning environment. We carried out this study with students attending their fourth college year at the Amelia Gallegos University of Education. The study is described as mixed, non-experimental, transversal, and bibliographic. The study is also explanatory-propositive. Several data collection techniques were used to analyze information, such as interviews, surveys, and documents. The study sample comprised 35 students and one teacher in charge of the social studies course. A strength to interculturality in virtual environments was the sufficient technological and pedagogical resources given by Ecuador's Ministry of Education. A major weakness was the role of the teacher, who used a passive teaching methodology restricted to the textbook and poor management of students' intercultural coexistence. Regarding the level of intercultural coexistence, there is a perception of cultural discrimination and inadequate intercultural coexistence in aspects such as respect, appreciation, inclusion, and assimilation. Given the results, a methodological proposal was designed to integrate interculturality in the teaching-learning process in virtual classrooms. Strategies based on social constructivism and connectivism are recommended along with TAC support such as Moodle and Kahoot. Key words: Methodological Proposal, Interculturality, Virtual Education, Social Studies. Reviewed by: MsC. Adriana Cundar Ruano, PhD. ENGLISH PROFESSOR c.c. 1709268534 |
