Opis
Sažetak:During the course of pregnancy, physiological and anatomical modifications are developed, among which, the ones of interest for this research were the hormonal and mechanical effects, which prepare the woman's body for the arrival of the baby; These changes translate into pressure changes in the pelvic organs, which are supported by a specialized muscle group, known as pelvic floor muscles and their weakness results in problems such as urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, and sexual dysfunction. On the other hand, the World Health Organization (WHO) considers three indicators for maternal mortality in a country. The maternal mortality ratio (RMM), the maternal mortality rate (MMR) and the risk of maternal death throughout adulthood (RDM); considering pelvic floor dysfunction and preventable complications during pregnancy an important factor. The Ministry of Public Health (MSP) to improve the care of the pregnant mother has developed programs where they work in a multidisciplinary group where they are integrated; Psychology, nutrition, general practitioner, obstetrics gynecology and physical therapy, this group opens a new field of work for the physiotherapist. Physiotherapy is crucial in the applications of Kegel exercises and the physiotherapist is the one who knows the technique and guides the mother to perform and thus prevent pelvic dysfunctions in pregnancy or postpartum, such exercises are very easy to develop, the pelvic floor muscles are squeezed trying to stop the urine, keep in that contraction until counting 5 and breathing gently in 5 let go, this is done in series of 10 times resting 3 seconds in the literature there is no exact dosage but if authors who They report that the more times you do it the better and faster the results will be. After performing these exercises, muscles with greater elasticity and lower risk of tearing are found.
