“Educación en pre-atención dental como vía para incremetar salud oral. Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo”

This research project aimed to determine the level of education in dental pre-care as a way to increase oral health in patients of the Dental Clinic of Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo. 61 people who came for the first time in search of dental services were the population of this study. After applying a knowledge test, an educational talk was held covering topics related to oral hygiene and oral pathologies. After this procedure, other tests were applied again to know if there was an improvement in knowledge, and to measure their level of satisfaction. Once the results were obtained, they were subjected to the Student's test for related samples, which is a parametric comparison test of two related samples. In this test, a value of t of -14,348, gl = 66 degrees of freedom and a value of p = 0.000, less than 0.05. In relation, it can be argued that the level of knowledge about oral health increased in the patients operated on by a percentage of 96.72%. In this way it was concluded that education in dental pre-care was vital for an improvement in patients' oral health.
