| 總結: | ABSTRACT: The objective of this research was to collect scientific information about the clinical characteristics and laboratory techniques for the diagnosis of Trypanosoma cruzi in Latin America. Chagas disease is an infectious pathology caused by the Trypanosoma cruzi parasite that is transmitted through the triatomine vector. When it infects its host, it destroys cells and causes an inflammatory response. It is considered essential parasitaemia in Latin America. A descriptive inquiry was carried out for the study, where updated data was selected. According to the design, it is documentary and not experimental because the research variables were not manipulated. In addition, it presents a temporal, chronological, cross-sectional, retrospective sequence with a population of 78 articles and a sample of 51 bibliographic sources used, including high-impact scientific documents such as Magazine Scielo, Pubmed, Elsevier, Medigraphic, Springer, Google Scholar, and official pages World Health Organization and Pan American Health Organization. The inclusion criteria were articles related to the topic published ten years ago, and the exclusion criteria were articles from years less than 2013. It was concluded that the diagnosis of Chagas Disease depends on the clinical phase of the patient. In the acute period, where there is a high parasitaemia, it is preferred to use direct methods such as fresh examination. In the chronic period, indirect methods are used, which detect the presence of antibodies (enzyme immunoassay). |
