Zusammenfassung:The constant training of professionals in today's working world has become a necessity due to the uninterrupted innovation of construction processes, such as the appearance of new technologies and digital tools. This is the case of the AEC industry, where the BIM methodology has revolutionized the way of developing a construction project, therefore engineers and architects are updating their knowledge through courses and training provided by public and private entities. In fact, it is necessary to know if these acquired knowledge, attitudes and skills are at the level of what is required for a correct and successful incursion into BIM. That is why this research seeks to know the state of the collaborative capacity of students and professionals developed after having taken a training or course focused on BIM. This was carried out through the application of a structured survey in the dimensions of wanting, being able and knowing. The survey had a scope of 207 responses among students and professionals of civil engineering and architecture trained under the BIM methodology. The results obtained show us the approach being taken by courses and trainers in Ecuador, in addition to identifying the influence they have on the development of collaborative capacity
