Normalización y estandarización de la fabricación de ladrillos y tejas del cantón Chambo.

At present, the artisanal brick-making area in the Chambo Canton presents problems in its production process due to the ancestral dosage of raw material involved for the manufacturing of bricks, for this reason this research work validates graduation works from previous years that have relation with our study, it reveals the optimal mixing ratio of sandy clay, clay and sawdust for making bricks, it allows the finished product to meet the requirements of the INEN standard and at the same time it makes bricks competitive within the industrial construction market. First, laboratory tests on bricks manufactured in the Chambo Canton were performed, obtaining values that do not meet size and resistance requirements according to the INEN standard, for this reason bricks with the dosage prescribed in a former graduate work were made, they had the measures determined by the standards for a type C solid brick, then they were tested again, obtaining satisfactory results that meet the same quality, dimensions and strength required by the law. When observing all the deficiencies during the manufacture of bricks, which does not meet the requirements that the INEN standard requires, this research includes the development of a proposal aimed to improve the processing of solid handmade type C solid brick, it includes awareness on artisans to use the minimum equipment for safety in order to ensure a working welfare and an optimal manufacturing of handmade bricks in Chambo.
