| Shrnutí: | ABSTRACT: Studying the dynamics around female genital prolapse seen as a consequence of vaginal delivery in multiparous women, represents an important situation very often in women who have passed the maximum period of procreation; and therefore, at that age the woman is prone to presenting circulatory, metabolic, and regressive diseases, influencing significant increases in complications resulting from pregnancy and respective childbirth, lying in high probabilities of conditions in the pelvic floor that derives in the occurrence of vaginal prolapse. By virtue of such arguments, it focused on executing a study based on the medical records at the IESS General Hospital of Riobamba of the Ecuadorian Institute of Social Security, during the period concerning the years 2020 to 2021; with the objective of determining the behavior based on a descriptive correlational study of a sample of 165 patients with said pathology who met the inclusion criteria in the investigation, determining prevalence around the type of vaginal prolapse type Cystocele or bladder hernia as a consequence cesarean section (16.42%) and as a consequence of vaginal delivery with a high correlation (63.68%) to develop this type of vaginal prolapse. It can be generalized that the incidence of vaginal prolapse in its different typologies is headed by vaginal delivery (80.10%), followed by cesarean sections (18.41%) and lastly, there was no history of childbirth but characterized by advanced age without children who developed vaginal prolapse (1.49%). In addition, the associated risk factors are listed: Age, number of children delivered vaginally, body mass index, history of previous pelvic floor surgeries and excessive weight lifting. Where the main recommended proposal is the practice of Kegel exercises.
