总结:ABSTRACT: This study analyzes microfiltration in glass ionomer restoration through literature review on scientific articles within 10 years of publication in prestigious academic databases such as PubMed, Google Scholar and Elsevier. In addition, it identified the causes and consequences of microfiltration in restoration ionomers. There were sixty-five collected articles. Those with average citations were selected with a Scimago Journal Ranking. Finally, a quantity of fifty scientific articles were obtained through a systematic review. After reviewing the literature, it is found that microfiltration is defined as the clinically undetectable passage of bacteria, fluids, chemicals, molecules or ions between the restoration interface and the tooth. The main cause of microfiltration was the poor adaptation between the restorative material and the dental structure. It resulted from the change in volume during the restorative material due to cohesive contraction in restoration and oral thermal changes. The consequences of microfiltration in restoration ionomers were secondary caries, discoloration of the teeth, staining of the restoration margins, adverse pulp response, postoperative sensitivity, acceleration of the decomposition of the filler material and polymerization contraction. The Ketac N100, 3M ESPE nano ionomer was the ionomer that exhibited the lowest degree of microfiltration. Thanks to the combination of the advantage of the resin-modified glass ionomer with nanofill technology, produces an optimal Black class V restorations.
