Sažetak:Gamification, an innovative strategy that has gained ground in various educational fields, emerges as a promising approach in the evaluation of high school students. Therefore, the objective was to analyze gamification as an evaluation strategy for Third Year high school students at the Fernando Daquilema Educational Unit. The methodology that was applied was through a mixed approach, it had a non-experimental design, the research was descriptive and transversal in nature, the population was made up of 27 third-year high school students and a teacher from the Fernando Daquilema Educational Unit, A survey with 10 closed questions was applied to the students and an interview with 10 open questions was applied to a high school teacher at the institution. The results revealed that there is a medium level of knowledge about gamification as an evaluation strategy, with a considerable proportion of people who do not participate in educational activities related to this tool. Therefore, these results indicate the need for greater education and training in the use of gamification as an evaluation strategy, as well as greater integration of specific technological tools in educational evaluation processes to take advantage of their potential in improving learning. and student motivation. Concluding that proposing the use of gamification as an evaluation strategy emerges as an innovative and promising response to address current challenges in educational evaluation, since it fosters a more dynamic, participatory and motivating learning environment for students, which can lead to greater academic engagement and performance.
