Sumari:ABSTRACT It is clear that new viruses will continue to emerge, new microorganisms that will affect to the general population and it is necessary to take into account methods, techniques and solutions disinfectants, so the main objective of this research was to assess the effectiveness of disinfection by means of thermal fogging and ozonation to the reduction of microorganisms in dental chairs, due to the need for obtain a complete and efficient disinfection of surfaces and environments, based on the nature of the objectives was experimental and observational, for this it was decided take 30 samples from different dental chairs before proceeding with the substance disinfectant that is composed of 500 ml of industrial alcohol 70 °, 500 ml of glutaraldehyde and as a vehicle we have 500 ml of liquid glycerin, 500 ml of water distilled and 30 samples after disinfection with thermal fogging and ozonation. blood agar culture media was used for the quantitative analysis of data to characterize the amount of microorganisms present before and after the disinfection procedure, as well as to compare the percentages of decrease, in relation to the inferential part, at test was used for samples related that allowed to identify through the UFC average whether or not there was a significant reduction of microorganisms, to which with a 95% confidence level. It is recommended to use this procedure to disinfect dental offices more specifically dental chairs. Keywords: Thermal fogging, ozonation, disinfection, COVID-19, armchairs dental
