| Summary: | The objective of this research project is to design a virtual desktop infrastructure, using VMware virtualization software and the desktop services platform UDS Enterprise in order to publish VDI services (Virtual Desktop Infrastructure) on Moodle, UDS Enterprise is the first platform that through its technology allows successful access to virtual desktops and applications through the learning management tool Moodle, Moodle is the most widely used Open Source learning platform in the world, integration with Moodle makes UDS Enterprise a powerful tool for e-Learning systems. For the execution of the research project, a virtual desktop infrastructure was designed, using VMware and UDS Enterprise technology, in conjunction with the Moodle learning platform, the virtualization of the desktops was carried out in both Linux and Windows, these OS (Operating Systems) will allow hosting virtual applications (vApp) that are available to those who the administrator, teacher or responsible allows access to these resources. The infrastructure ensures that teachers regardless of the area can manage resources, they can access VDI, vApp and remote computers from Moodle simplifying its management and use, in addition to its multiple benefits for teachers and students, UDS Enterprise is a technological tool that allows centralized management of VDI, vApp and remote computers for unlimited students, ensuring that students or authorized users can take advantage of remote desktops, applications and other utilities at their disposal, this will produce greater academic utility for the process of teaching and learning online. Finally, the infrastructure designed and implemented in a test environment has been successful and has fulfilled all the objectives set out in the research project |
