Description
Summary:The thesis examines the impacts of migration in the Pull San José community, addressing economic, social and cultural aspects. It highlights the prevalence of women in the labor force, youth as a vital component, and the majority with high school education or less. The United States and Spain are prominent destinations, mainly for better job opportunities. Remittances are perceived as stabilizing, but concerns persist about local employment and reduction of the labor force. There is dissatisfaction with the quality of education and health care. Interpersonal relationships show a diversity of opinions, while cultural practices seem to remain stable. It is recommended to promote equitable economic development, improve basic services, and foster social cohesion and cultural preservation to promote sustainable development in the community.
