A literature search was carried out through scientific articles from the last 10 years, this information was obtained from databases such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Elsevier, Redalyc, Scielo, Science Direct, through exclusion, inclusion, average citation count (ACC), and journal impact factor; After the application of all these tools, a total of 52 articles were obtained to carry out the systematic review. After analyzing the selected articles, it was determined that dental implants are a favorable option to rehabilitate a patient with edentulism. Based on the evidence collected, the literature shows that there are several types of prosthetic options, one of which is the fixed prosthesis on implants. within which the individual crown, bridges and full arch prosthesis are proposed, depending on the type of edentulism present in the patient; Another prosthetic option is overdentures and hybrid prostheses, which are a restoration method in completely edentulous patients. Finally, one of the advantages of implant-supported prostheses is their greater acceptance compared to conventional prostheses, because they improve the living conditions in the functional, aesthetic and psychological state of the patient. Keywords: Implant prostheses, implant impressions, implantology, Oral rehabilitationRESUMEN La presente revisión bibliográfica se enfocó en la rehabilitación oral con implantes, la misma tuvo como finalidad conocer la importancia de los implantes dentales y determinar las diferentes opciones protésicas establecidas en torno a estos aditamentos, logrando una rehabilitación oral funcional y estética en pacientes parcial o totalmente edéntulos. Se realizó una búsqueda de literatura por medio de artículos científicos de los últimos 10 años, esta información se obtuvo de las bases de datos como Google Scholar, PubMed, Elsevier, Redalyc, Scielo, Science Direct, a través de criterios de exclusión, inclusión, promedio de conteo de citas (ACC), y factor de impacto de la revista; después de la aplicación de todas estas herramientas se obtuvo un total de 52 artículos para realizar la revisión sistemática. Luego de analizar los artículos seleccionados se determinó que los implantes dentales son una opción favorable para rehabilitar a un paciente con edentulismo, a partir de la evidencia recolectada, la literatura muestra que existen varios tipos de opciones protésicas siendo una de estas la prótesis fija sobre implantes dentro de la cual se plantea la corona individual, puentes y prótesis de arcada completa, dependiendo el tipo de edentulismo presente en el paciente; otra opción protésica es la sobredentadura y las prótesis híbridas las cuales son un método de restauración en pacientes totalmente edéntulos.
