Conducted through a scientific literature review, based on PRISMA (Preferred Reporting Items for Systemic Reviews and Meta-Analysis) recommendations. In addition to identifying the benefits of magnification in endodontics, the relationship between the use of magnification in endodontic treatment and surgery and recognizing the most used magnification equipment in endodontics. To develop it, scientific articles from journals indexed through databases such as PubMed, Elsevier, Medigraphic, Google Scholar and Scielo were used, in a period of 10 years, that is, from 2013 to 2023, where 55 quality publications were selected for the process. review. As a result, it was determined that the use of magnification in endodontics is a tool that allows the operator's visual field to be expanded, with correct lighting, providing benefits in the development of the intervention, successful results after the procedure, improvements in the clinician's ergonomics, reduction of the visual fatigue of the professional, guarantee of the patient when facing the treatment, and thus it was also determined that the most used magnification equipment are the dental operating microscope (DOM), magnifying loupes and endoscope, each one with its advantages and disadvantages. |
