Shrnutí:SUMMARY The purpose of this research work is to measure the technical efficiency of milk production in the Matriz parish of the Guamote canton. To do this, the data envelopment analysis (DEA) methodology is used with constant returns to scale (CRS) with orientation to inputs for the period 2022, a representative sample of 400 producers were analyzed. The results obtained indicate that on average each producer in the parent parish generates around 365 liters of milk weekly, maintaining an average of four cows per farm. It is estimated that each producer allocates approximately half a hectare of land to the care of dairy cattle. Regarding the distribution of production, 76% is destined for marketing while 16% is used for local consumption. In addition, a hierarchical cluster analysis has been carried out to classify the producers of homogeneous groups according to their production characteristics. The results revealed 3 different groups where cluster 1, 2 and 3 show an average efficiency level of 0.82, 0.86 and 0.80 respectively. which suggests a high degree of efficiency in your dairy production operations
