| Summary: | The research highlights the importance of proper credit risk management for the stability and sustainability of cooperatives, since loan defaults can compromise their liquidity and financial capacity. For this reason, the progressive increase in delinquency and the lack of a comprehensive credit risk management system at COAC “Kullki Wasi” Ltda. will be examined, as these circumstances affect its performance and the confidence of its members. In addition, the cooperative has faced considerable challenges due to rising delinquency levels and the lack of personnel specifically trained in risk management. These factors have led to a decline in productivity and a deterioration in the quality of the loan portfolio—conditions that could affect the stability of its liquidity in the medium and long term. The key question is how the increase in credit risk influences the cooperative's liquidity and credit-granting decisions during the aforementioned period. Therefore, the justification indicates that the research seeks to identify the factors that affect this relationship and present management strategies that strengthen the cooperative's financial stability and serve as a reference for other similar entities. Consequently, the study will use a hypothetical-deductive method and a non-experimental design, combining qualitative and quantitative approaches. It will be carried out through interviews, observations, and document review, analysing the cooperative's financial situation. |
