Résumé:The objective of this research is to identify teaching resources that encourage student participation in the area of Natural Sciences, given that at the Nidia Jaramillo Elementary School there is low interest in this subject due to the lack of teaching resources used by teachers to make classes more dynamic. It is known that teaching resources support the work of teachers and generate relational learning in students, as they motivate them and facilitate understanding of content, promoting the development of cognitive skills. The research was conducted using a mixed approach with a non-experimental design. The techniques used were a student survey and a teacher interview, with the respective instruments: a questionnaire and a list of questions. The sample consisted of 30 seventh- grade students and one teacher. The results showed that there are different ways of learning in the classroom, making it necessary to incorporate manipulative teaching materials that address these particularities and facilitate the understanding of abstract concepts through practical experience, especially those that come from the environment. Finally, a guide to teaching resources is proposed, adapted to different learning styles and aimed at promoting meaningful learning and the development of scientific thinking through active strategies consistent with the national priority curriculum.
