Описание
Итог:ABSTRACT Metabolic syndrome is a set of alterations that put an individual at risk of presenting mostly aggravated pathologies such as Diabetes Mellitus Type 2, cardiovascular diseases, or strokes. The present bibliographic project aimed to describe the various tests used for the diagnosis of Metabolic Syndrome by collecting information from different scientific databases. The type of research of this project is descriptive transversal since it was based on information from research already published, obtained from scientific sources such as Scielo, Scopus, Redalyc, Lilacs, among others of which the same primary and secondary sources of information were taken as the population. It is for the same reason that this project was interpreted as a qualitative documentary research Project since there was no manipulation of variables and it was only a description of studies already published. According to data collected from various sources, it was found that the percentage worldwide is approximately 29% in the prevalence of Metabolic syndrome, for this reason, it was considered that it is of great importance to know the laboratory tests first hand for the diagnosis of Metabolic Syndrome such as glucose analysis also known blood sugar and lipid profile within which the level of triglycerides and HDL cholesterol is measured which are interpreted as fats at the blood level this in order to guide each individual to carry out better control of their health and to avoid the development of more serious pathologies. Keywords: Metabolic syndrome, diagnosis, criteria, glucose, lipid profile. Reviewed by: Mgs. Lorena Solís Viteri ENGLISH PROFESSOR c.c. 0603356783
