总结:The main objective of this research study was to establish the family styles in students of the Psychopedagogy Career of the Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo, for this purpose an evaluation instrument called the Family Functioning Scale (F.F.S.) was used in a sample of 103 students from the first to third semester of the career, counting 18 men and 85 women. The instrument consisted of 22 items which were answered on a Likert-type scale of five alternatives that allowed us to evaluate three dimensions (family identity, communication, and coping strategies) each with their respective 7 factors in total. After tabulating and statistically analyzing the data, it was determined that the female students in the first semester presented the highest degree of functionality of all those analyzed, while the men in the second semester presented the highest degree of family dysfunction. In the whole course, 5 out of 10 students have a functional family, 3 out of 10 have a balanced family, and 2 out of 10 have a dysfunctional family. In addition, it was concluded that as both male and female students progress in their careers, they seek greater independence, which leads to greater distance from their families, and therefore, there is greater family dysfunctionality. Finally, by calculating the dispersion statistics, second-semester men were identified as the part of the sample that presented the greatest degree of variation in the data, indicating very different family behaviors.
