Etiketle | Özet: | Nowadays, it is not enough to have roads to move around, but quality standards are required to allow fast, comfortable, safe, and economical travel on roads in optimal conditions. This research focuses on testing six roads with the high vehicular flow that are in different states of the surface layer to determine the relationship between the condition of the roads with the cost of vehicular operation and to obtain a prediction model of these costs applicable to any road in the city of Riobamba. To achieve the proposed objective, an outline of the methodological process was elaborated; it is worth mentioning that for the collection of data, in situ surveillance cameras were implemented, data collection of the PCI and PSR methods, finally surveys were applied to road users generating a reliable source of information to obtain in the calculation of vehicle operation costs (V. O. C.), concluding that the condition of the roads significantly affects the deterioration of vehicles and that the optimum condition range (PCI) of the roads is 70 to 100. The obtained results can be used to plan the proper maintenance of studied roads. |
