Shrnutí:ABSTRACT The present research aimed to collect helpful information on immediate immunological and non-immunological adverse reactions to blood transfusion. Within a qualitative approach, with a non-experimental design and a cross-sectional scope, bibliographic research work was carried out with a population of 108 scientific articles that contributed in the best way since they were obtained strategically in the different scientific databases. From this number, the sample comprising 49 scientific articles was selected. The data collection technique was based on the search in the different scientific databases and Google books. The data were obtained by reading the respective articles to form the investigation correctly. The results evidenced the existence of 7 immediate reactions, both immunological and nonimmunological ones, that are directly related to the concentrated red blood cells, platelet concentrate, and fresh frozen plasma, as the recipient experiences mild effects and, in the worst case death, in addition, the most frequent reactions that are generated are congestive heart failure (TACO), non-cardiogenic pulmonary edema (TRALI), febrile reaction, allergic reaction, and anaphylactic reaction since immediate adverse reactions appear due to human error before blood transfusion and the patient's history, for this reason, it is necessary to permanently establish quality control during the transfusion chain in the different transfusion medicine establishments. Keywords: blood components, immediate reactions, transfusion, immunological, nonimmunological. Reviewed by: Mgs. Hugo Romero ENGLISH PROFESSOR c.c. 0603156258
