| Summary: | Written expression is a fundamental tool in the human being since it allows to inform opinions, thoughts, and feelings, which involves good coordination of knowledge and skills. Spelling affects the written expression of students, and that is why teachers have a great challenge in teaching spelling and students need to participate in activities in which they manage to develop correct writing. A very clear process is recommended for the teaching of written expression; the communicative purpose must go further in each writing process to promote the necessary skills, through didactic and participatory strategies that allow reading and writing correctly. The present investigation addresses the issue of didactic strategies to improve the written expression of Kichwa-speaking students in the eighth year of basic general education. The objective was to determine the incidence of didactic strategies in the written expression (spelling) of Kichwa-speaking students of the "Quilloac Bilingual Intercultural Pedagogical Institute", Cañar, 2022. For this, a field investigation carried out in this institution was required. Is descriptive, since it allowed the representation of basic findings, through the explanatory diagnostic test on the causes present in the spelling levels to determine answers through strategies. The collection of information was carried out through the application of the survey and interview with a study population corresponding to 33 students in the eighth year of basic general and teachers in the area of language and literature. From the results derived from the investigation, as a proposal, it is pointed out that workshops to encourage written expression are first teachers and then students and thus encourage students to have an interest in written expression and thus change the spelling of students. |
