Ecuador, and mainly the region in which the area of study is located is of high seismic risk, this factor plus informal constructions and their results make this investigation very important, it was carried out in order to determine the degree of seismic vulnerability of the houses built until October 2013 in the “Liribamba” and “Cruzada Social” urban marginal neighborhoods of Riobamba by using two methodologies: the Italian Method which evaluates parameters in more detail based on simple calculations and the Method from the Risk Management National Secretariat, which carries out an evaluation based on typological or superficial concept
