الملخص:The present research work addresses as its main theme, an analysis of the different waves of feminism and its transcendence in the city of Riobamba in the 21st century. Taking several writings as a reference, it was possible to identify the different waves of feminism, the historical evolution that it has had and its development were analyzed starting from the first wave or liberal feminism, continuing with the second wave or socialist feminism and its third wave or radical feminism; In addition, the influence and development that feminism has had in Latin American countries such as Mexica, Peru, Argentina and Ecuador was identified, in addition to identifying the transcendence that feminism has had in Riobamba, the collective "we decide" belonging to the group "we decide" was taken as a reference. cantón, with whom we worked on a qualitative and quantitative process for the development of the theme through the use of the survey and the interview as a data collection instrument; It is so that, within the most relevant results, it was found that; There is no formal organization and structuring of the analyzed feminist collective, the analyzed feminist collective presents a tendency towards socialist feminism and mainly addresses problems of violence and gender inequality (gender abuse, femicides, labor inequality, inequality before the law).
