Adicionar Tag | Resumo: | The Unit of the Council of the Judiciary of the Canton Colta, a critical public institution responsible for investigating and controlling non-compliance with resolutions in the first stage of criminal procedure, is located on Av. Unidad Nacional between Riobamba Street and 2 de Agosto. Unidad Nacional between Riobamba Street and 2 de Agosto. In this research project, Major Risk Management was carried out in this building, using methods accepted at the country level, such as INSST, MEIPEE, NFPA, MESERI, and FEMA 154, to identify and evaluate potential threats. Using the INSST method, a general evaluation of the most probable risks was carried out, from which it was obtained that the threats present with significant risk are earthquakes, ashfall, and fires. Hence, these threats are available for the MEIPEE methodology, where a MEDIUM risk level was obtained due to fires. Meanwhile, for earthquakes and ashfall, it is HIGH. Using the NFPA method, it was obtained that the facilities present a LOW risk, whereas the MESERI methodology obtained a MEDIUM risk in case of fires. In the case of the FEMA 154 methodology, a MEDIUM level of structural vulnerability of the building was obtained. Following the identification and evaluation of the risks, a comprehensive contingency plan for the facilities of the Judicial Unit of the Canton Colta was prepared, implemented, and approved. This plan, which includes preventive and emergency response measures, action protocols, the formation of emergency brigades, and the implementation of signage, evacuation maps, and first aid kits, significantly enhances the efficiency of officials in an emergency and fosters a safe environment. |
