| Περίληψη: | ABSTRACT: The analysis of the relationship between tourist establishments and alternative energy in Guano, located in Chimborazo province, reveals significant findings that can guide towards a more sustainable and responsible tourism in the region. The research had a mixed approach, utilizing non-experimental and cross-sectional methods. The objectives included identifying the relationship between tourism activities and alternative energy, lodging services and alternative energy, as well as tourism infrastructure and alternative energy The results obtained indicate that while there is a considerable positive correlation between tourist infrastructure and alternative energy, no significant relationships were found between tourism activities, lodging services, and alternative energy. This means that there are opportunities to enhance the integration of sustainable practices in these aspects of local tourism. Based on these results, some recommendations are proposed to advance sustainability in Guano's tourism sector. These include encouraging the use of alternative energies, stimulating the adoption of sustainable technologies in lodging services, promoting the construction of sustainable tourist infrastructure, fostering collaboration between tourism stakeholders and the local community, and establishing monitoring and evaluation mechanisms to measure progress toward more sustainable tourism practices. Keywords: Sustainable tourism, solar energy, natural resources, alternative energy. |
