Patrimonio Alimentario y Turismo Cultural de la Parroquia Licán, Cantón Riobamba.

Riobamba is a place with localities and parishes where it can develop various tourist activities; despite all the wonders that make up this canton's offer, some limitations hinder the development of tourism. With this research, it was possible to identify the factors and problems that affect the development of the locality; in this case, it is about a limitation of tourism promotion which is one of the most notorious factors that negatively affect tourism; these shortcomings are linked to the development of food heritage and cultural tourism in the area and thus cause dissatisfaction in tourists and service providers. With the support of various resources, such as the execution of the problem tree and matrices for the operationalization of variables and consistency, indicators, and dimensions for both the dependent and independent variables were developed for the evaluation instrument applied in the parish. In addition, the data processing, the instrument's reliability using Cronbach's alpha, and the testing of hypotheses using the Chi-square test were carried out using Excel and SPSS applications. The research is divided into five chapters and annexes; annex 1 has the development of the proposal that is the complement to the research and that is taken from the results obtained in the application of the evaluation instrument, and that is also reflected in the conclusions and recommendations, the proposal seeks to answer the research, in this way the proposed proposal deals with the creation of strategies for the promotion and diffusion of the parish of Licán of the canton of Riobamba, this will contribute to the increase of the tourist demand of the area.
