Shrnutí:The increase in carbon monoxide (CO) emissions is considered a serious problem of air pollution worldwide, while in the country there is no research on CO and how it produces an increase in the concentration of carboxyhemoglobin (COHb), thus generating a concern in the population with regard to their health, especially those working in the brick industry. In the present research project, the CO emission of ten strategic brick kilns in the urban area of Chambo was monitored; the analyses were carried out by measuring the CO in the kilns of each brick kiln and determining the COHb concentrations using the Stewart formula, where surveys were applied to define the variables in this equation. The measurements were made during the month of January 2018, with a maximum value of 17.92 ppm and a minimum value of 7.84 ppm for CO; as far as the concentration of COHb is concerned, the highest concentration was found in the Jesús del Gran Poder neighborhood with a 17.47% COHb; OMS limits for CO are 8.7 ppm and 5% for COHb, seven brick kilns exceed the high concentration CO limit, while nine kilns exceed the carboxyhemoglobin concentration limit. Finally, a kriging interpolation was generated using the emission data obtained and validated using the uncertainty index.
