Shrnutí:Academic knowledge in the subject of mathematics has shown difficulties for a long time, mainly due to learning styles, this study is based on the implementation and application of the Microsoft Mathematics program as a pedagogical tool for the teaching-learning process of conic sections: circumference and ellipse, in the second year students of Bachillerato General Unificado of the Bilingual Intercultural Institution “Socta Urco” where a low knowledge and understanding of topics in the subject was verified, caused by the traditional methodology and the non-use of ICTs, this implies intellectual development as well as critical thinking this reality is evident in many homes in our country, being caused by the pandemic, besides to the deficit of technological instruments and the lack of internet, with the application of Microsoft Mathematics software, the aim is to improve the cognitive development of students mainly in the theoretical part with the practical resolution of contents, showing a quasi-experimental design crosswise in two groups; one control and one experimental that makes it possible to obtain the expected results. The validation and effectiveness of this resource is evidenced in the application of a test and the results obtained in it, this study was applied with the control and experimental groups, one group did not use the software, being this the control one, while the other group did use it, In addition, the Wilcoxon test was used to verify the effectiveness in the use of the program and verify its incidence in learning achievement. Which is evidenced in the averages of the qualifications of both groups with this analysis significant differences are shown, being 5.75 points of view for the control group and 8.11 in the empirical group, with a difference between the means of 2.4 points out of 10, it was possible to show that the group that worked with the software obtained a better average than the control group, In addition, there is an improvement in learning in the experimental group, with the percentage of students who reach the required learning being greater compared to the first group.
