| الملخص: | Over time, the development of M2M communications has progressed on a large scale, allowing different devices to communicate with each other. An important feature of fourth-generation mobile communications is the possibility of mass communication between users (UE) and the base station using the random-access channel (PRACH), which means that when attempting communication between devices and the base station, these devices collide, causing a delay in communication. The power ramp process is a method that is used to boost the ramp generated when a user collides, causing a higher probability of successful access. This research focuses on evaluating the power ramp process using different values of initial power, taking as a standard value a power delta of 0 dB; each result is evaluated for different values of mass traffic. For this work's development, a random-access channel simulation based on contention was carried out using MATLAB simulation software in which the necessary parameters for fourth-generation (4G) mobile communications were considered.
