| Sumari: | The present research project aimed to carry out an analysis of the use of red social from a perspective of cultural identity in high school students of the Penipe Millennium Educational Unit. At present the use of social networks is changing the social dynamics, Facebook is a space of communication and information, involving diverse cultures and ideologies take part. The subject was based on the method: inductive-deductive since with analyze fundamental characteristic getting to know situations, customs and attitudes that intervene in the use of the social network and how it affects the identity, using resources 147 encuestas y and 5 interviews, which provide indicators on the thinking of adolescents, authorities and representatives of the Penipe canton. It design is non-experimental, since the variables were not manipulated. As a result, 90% have a profile in the aforementioned social network, while a 63% of young people think that Facebook regulates, creates habits and routines, modifying their cultural identity with 44%, It is concluded that research done reflects such as the social network, if it platform, it is important that authorities in the Penipe canton continue to strengthen and foster their ancestral legacy talks, contest, as currently they develop it. For communication is the fundamental source for the development of people and for the ways of life of the human being. |
