Achoimre:Erazo Valle M (2023). Dialogue and comprehensive sexuality in ninth-year parents of the Educational Unit ¨Cicalpa¨ Province of Chimborazo. (Thesis). The objective of this research was to determine the level of communication between parents and ninth-year students of Basic General Education in the "Cicalpa" Educational Unit, in the Colta canton, province of Chimborazo. Given that communication between parents and children is essential for healthy development and trust, it was considered that good communication promotes security in adolescents to address issues related to sexuality and prevent problems such as unplanned pregnancies, acquisition of transmitted diseases sexual and school dropout. In addition, the importance of preserving young people's self-esteem was recognized. The methodology used was a qualitative approach, field type, descriptive, basic and bibliographic, with a non-experimental design. 15 parents of higher basic education were surveyed using a non-probabilistic and intentional sample. The technique used was the survey and the instrument used was a questionnaire that allowed generating statistical tables and graphs for data analysis. The results indicated that the majority of parents do not foster an environment of trust to discuss sexuality issues with their children, possibly due to a lack of knowledge about comprehensive sexuality education, cultural taboos, or fear of judgment on the part of the parents. Therefore, the participation of parents in the workshops that will be held together with the research hotbed of the Basic Education Career is recommended, which seeks to provide adequate information and tools to improve the dialogue on comprehensive sexuality within the family.
