La representación de las organizaciones de mujeres en los medios de comunicación de Chimborazo: un análisis desde la perspectiva de género y derechos humanos durante el periodo 2021-2023

This research examines the representation of women's organizations in Chimborazo's media outlets during the 2021-2023 period, from a gender and human rights perspective. The methodology includes in-depth interviews, expert interviews, and focus groups. Findings reveal a limited and stereotypical portrayal of these organizations, with coverage primarily focused on isolated events such as marches and protests, neglecting their broader activities and achievements. Additionally, a lack of gender and human rights perspective in media coverage was identified, perpetuating gender stereotypes and reducing visibility of women's contributions. The study concludes that ongoing training in gender and human rights for journalists, along with the implementation of inclusive editorial policies, is essential to promote equitable and respectful representation of women.
