| Gaia: | The project highlights the close relationship between human beings and their environment, focusing on the analysis of ergonomic risks present in the work areas of the production area of machines and equipment of the company "Hornos LINCOLN" in Riobamba. The main purpose is to identify and evaluate the different areas that are prone to ergonomic risks, proposing preventive measures in order to safeguard the physical and mental health of the operators. It is important to keep in mind that ergonomics and occupational risk prevention play a crucial role in ensuring a healthy and safe working environment. The INSST risk assessment matrix and the Nordic Kuorinka questionnaire are used to identify ergonomic risks. For forced postures, the REBA method will be used, which has action levels ranging from 0 to 4 and a score of 1 as negligible to 15 as very high. For the evaluation of repetitive movements in the upper extremities, the JSI method is used, which evaluates the workstations to assess whether the workers who occupy them are exposed to developing cumulative traumatic disorders, thus obtaining values less than or equal to 3 indicating that the task is safe, values less than or equal to 7 indicating that the task is probably not safe. The evaluated work areas have not very encouraging scores due to the lack of corrective actions. Once the matrices and evaluation methods were applied, results were obtained from the INSST matrix with Important Risks in Ergonomic Factors, with the REBA method alarming results were obtained, so preventive actions should be carried out immediately and with the JSI method it was obtained that "the task is probably not safe", in any work position in this distinguished company. |
