Inicio de la actividad sexual en estudiantes de segundo y tercer semestre de la carrera de Psicopedagogía de la Universidad Nacional de Chimborazo

This research seeks to determine the initiation of sexual activity in second and third semester students of the Psychopedagogy program at The University National of Chimborazo. The beginning of sexual activity entails the initiation of the coital act, which should be carried out in a responsible manner, otherwise there is a risk of contracting sexually transmitted infections (STIs) or pregnancies at an early age. Among the objectives of the study is to analyze the degree of knowledge about the beginning of sexual activity and to identify the predominant sex at the beginning of sexual activity. It is a descriptive, quantitative and cross-sectional research since the research was conducted in a single period of time, which was carried out in 80 students, including males and females. The instrument for data collection was carried out through a survey by means of a Likert scale questionnaire, which included closed questions that were necessary to obtain the data for this research. It was demonstrated that men are the ones who approach early sexual activity with a difference of 3 years in women, at the same time, it should be emphasized that the percentage of men surveyed is lower by 50% than that of women who were part of the research.
