Plan institucional de reducción de riesgos para la Unidad Educativa Verbo Divino de la ciudad de Guaranda.

The purpose of this research project titled "Institutional Risk Reduction Plan for the Unidad Educativa Verbo Divino in the City of Guaranda" was to provide a risk management tool, following the guidelines of the Dirección General de Gestión de Riesgos del Ministerio de Educación, to reduce institutional risks and provide a safe environment in the educational community. The population comprising the educational community is 2000 people. An on-site inspection was conducted to identify risks, and resources such as a matrix of historical hazardous events and data from the Instituto Geofísico de la Escuela Politécnica Nacional were used. Earthquakes, volcanic activity, and strong winds were identified as the most relevant risks and were evaluated. Criteria from a risk identification matrix were used to determine the Risk Level; the result was a medium Risk Level. Threats were identified along with their Risk Levels, and individuals using the facilities were prepared to act during an emergency to safeguard their physical integrity. A conducted drill showcased the work done, achieving an excellent rating of 9 out of 10. Once compliance with the current legal regulations was verified, the Institutional Risk Reduction Plan for the Unidad Educativa Verbo Divino was reviewed, approved, and registered.
